Inaugurated with an opening speech by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr Vasiliki Kassianidou, the Cornaro Art Centre, Limassol, invite you to the group exhibition titled "Feminine Episteme: The Frontiers of Love and War", running from March 22 to March 27, 2024.
Organized by the Dante Alighieri Comitato di Cipro, the International Center of Studies of Arts and Humanities and its president Umberto Mondini, in collaboration with Andreas Efstathiou, Director of the Cornaro Art Centre, and Stefania Pennacchio, president of the Leucò Art Cultural Association, "Feminine Episteme: The Frontiers of Love and War", is a thought-provoking exploration of the role of women in warfare and its reflection in art.
The show highlights the impact of women on history, literature, mythology, religion, and art, from warlike goddesses to legendary figures. Through various media, the participating artists have projected their perspectives on women in war, emphasizing the theme of peacemaking amidst conflict.
We have the pleasure to host as a special guest Mrs Rosa Mundi, with three pieces of art, she is a well-known international artist who has participated in many important exhibitions all over the world, from Venice Biennale, to Biennale Dakar Off Fondazione Senghor, Roma Art Week curated by Massimo Scaringella- Palazzo Altieri.
The lineup of artists includes Andri Andreou, Claudia Sveva Calabrò, Sebastiano Caldarella, Tiziana Cera Rosco, Mikey Christofinis, Aneta Dziedzic, Michaella Karagiorgi, Leni Loizou, Rona (Androniki) Mikellidou, Iphigenia Papageorgiou, Stefania Pennacchio, Cetty Romeo, Matteo Todeschini, Ekaterina Selezneva, and Tatiana Vasilyeva.
